Sawyer County contains a part of the 90,000 acre
Flambeau River State Forest.
Wisconsin has nine State Forests (Wow!): Brule River, Northern
Highland-American Legion, Peshtigo River, Governor Knowles, Black River,
Flambeau River, Coulee Experimental, Point Beach and Kettle Moraine
(North & South units).
