The first
Annual Livestock Facility Siting Report is now available on the
Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP)
website.
The report evaluates implementation of the Livestock Facility Siting Law
(s. 93.90 Wis. Stats) and rule (ch. ATCP 51) during the first year the
law was in effect (May 2006 - April 2007). Information within the
report covers local adoption of regulations governing the siting of new
and expanding livestock operations, an analysis of the state siting
standards, DATCP outreach efforts plus a summary of related activities.
