Wildlife Research and Management Internships
The following are current intern positions that have been advertised that should be taken for credit. Some more will be probably be advertised in the next several weeks and I will update this file as I receive them (date of the update will be listed). New positions will be listed at the top of the page. Older position will be in the lower section. You can view and download the position document and download an application form and complete it using your computer. It may be possible for students to initiate their own internship. this might be especially attractive to some students if they could live at home while working to save costs. If you are interested in doing an internship with a particular agency (private, state, municipal or federal) that you are familiar with you must provide the Dr. Hardin with the name and phone number of an agency contact person. He will then contact the agency to determine if they would be receptive to participating in the UWSP internship program and can facilitate the process of establishing the position. Make sure that you pay special attention to the requested application materials. Some ask for a resume, cover letter, or application form. Also note the deadline listed for each position and have your application turned in on time. In some instances the agency may want to do a phone interview, personal interview (here or at the agency) and the notification process will vary with different agencies.
