Utica Zoo, Utica, NY

 Interns receive training in all animal care areas of the zoo including:  Asian realm, children's zoo and sea lions, North Trek (exotic hoofed stock, tigers & bears), Tropical Care (primates, snow leopard and reptiles), Diets/ Commissary (diet preparation, nutrition and commissary); Veterinary Services (animal care, vaccinations and quarantine), Support areas (animal shows, exhibits, contact yard and more).  College dormitory housing available.  Experience:  Student enrolled in or majoring in biology, zoology, pre-vet, veterinary technology or related field.  Duration:  10 weeks, 40 hrs/wk from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays and/or weekends.  APPLICATION DEADLINE: 1 April 2005 (Send a resume and cover letter briefly explaining your interest to:  Alison Sinnott, Animal Care Manager, Utica Zoo, 99 Steele Hill Rd., Utica, NY 13501.  Questions?  Alison.Sinnott@uticazoo.org. 14th.
