Interns are used for permanent animal care positions through a qualification system with opportunity for full-time paid animal keeper positions available based upon performance after training. Learn about big cats at this big cat sanctuary. Experience: Commitment for a 3-month work period. Must be capable of paying attention to details and follow safety rules. Must have own transportation to and from the refuge and provide own food. Amenities: Food and board, uniforms, materials and curriculum, indoctrination and safety training. The Intern House is centrally heated and air conditioned, furnished, a full kitchen with 2 full bats, 2 rooms shared by 2 students, a shared telephone line for incoming calls, internet access for e-mail, VCR, TV and Satellite. Horse back riding available at no cost, lakes within beautiful parks, movie theaters, numerous local night clubs and plenty of restaurants. Duration: 3 months commitment. Work 6 days/wk.
