2007 Internships at the Henry Vilas Zoo, Madison Wisconsin

Five positions total

Salary: $7.00 per hour, 40 hours per week and included ALL weekend and holidays, 8AM – 5 PM with one-hour lunch. Two consecutive days off during the week. No housing can be provided.

Dates: approx. May 22 thru Sept 4, 2006

Duties: Interns will care for a variety of exotic and domestic animals under the direction of zoo keepers until adequately trained; will work as a team or independently once trained.  Other duties include restroom maintenance, grounds maintenance, supply/hay loading and unloading, other duties as assigned.  Must have valid driver's license.  We provide work shirts, rubber boots and rain gear.
