Predicting Bobcat Spatial Distribution in Wisconsin

Graduate Student: Leslie Adams
Adviser: Eric Anderson

Leslie working on graduate projectMy research interests focus on carnivore ecology and conservation. Currently, I am investigating the effectiveness of a predictive habitat distribution model, together with non-invasive sampling methods, to better understand the spatial distribution of the bobcat in Wisconsin. Given the status of the bobcat as a harvestable species in Wisconsin and the limitations of current sampling methodologies, the results of the study will be shared with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to better manage the bobcat population.
