Well Construction Information

Testing your drinking water is important, but only gives you information about your water quality at one moment in time.  To have safe water over the long term, your well must be properly located, constructed, and maintained.

Well construction reports for wells installed by licensed contractors since 1936 are kept at the Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey in Madison.  A well construction report can tell you such details as:
