Experience for Natural Resource Students

WEAL provides a meaningful, practical, and positive education experience for students.  Undergraduate and graduate students work side-by-side with staff and follow professional quality assurance/quality control protocol.

Students who have worked in the lab for one semester can earn internship credit in Water 381 for their laboratory experience and water resource research.

Students gain experience working in the lab or on research projects by:

Picture (10x15, 809 bytes)  Working in a DNR state certified lab
Picture (10x15, 809 bytes)  Field work in water resources
Picture (10x15, 809 bytes)  Report writing/data management
Picture (10x15, 809 bytes)  Presentations
Picture (10x15, 809 bytes)  Working with citizens and agency staff

These opportunities help prepare students for Water Resource careers and graduate school.  Examples of some of our research projects are:

Reports and Publications
Research and Education Outreach
