Top ten reasons to attend UWSP graduate program in EE/interp:

(advice from current graduate students to incoming students in the EE/interp program)

10) Stevens Point is located in the beautiful transition zone of Wisconsin, so there are tons of opportunities to take part in outdoor activities like skiing, hiking on the Ice Age Trail, biking on the Green Circle Trail, canoeing on the Plover River, fishing, and hunting.

7) You'll get hands-on experience in both environmental education and interpretation, and the chance to get very involved in local schools and the community through extracurricular groups.
6) The UWSP student chapter of the National Association for Interpretation (NAI) is one of the best-represented at the national conferences.
5) Past graduates of the program are currently serving in top positions in the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE), working in beautiful national parks, directing nature centers across the United States, and leading EE programs in a wide range of settings, both nationally and internationally.
4) You'll be looked up to by the undergraduate students just entering the field.
3) The Wisconsin Association of Environmental Education (WAEE), the Environmental Education Training Partnership (EETAP), and the National Environmental Education Advancement Project (NEEAP) have their home offices on the UWSP campus.
2) The field stations at CWES, Schmeeckle Reserve, and Treehaven are an incredible asset to the program.  The practicums are hands-on, fun, and a terrific learning experience.
