Everything Under the Sun

This exciting camp allows you to choose from many activities including tree climbing, kayaking, archery, crafts, fishing and a one hour horse-back trail ride. Choose your own fun!

A new twist on CWES's traditional Outdoor Skills camp. You will practice outdoor skills such as knot-tying, archery, compass, fly-tying, fire-starting and shelter-building. Then, you will test your skills in "Survivor" team-style and individual challenges. Are you ready to challenge the wild?

NEW! Becoming an Outdoor Leader
Ages 14-16 July 5-11

You've been to camp, but have you ever wanted to take a look behind the scenes? During your week as an outdoor leader, you will take an excursion to a high ropes course with a zip line and gain first-hand experience co-teaching activities with CWES counselors. A great resume-builder and chance to bond with your fellow leaders and counselor mentors.

Earth Explorers
Ages 7-9 July 6-9

Ready. Set. Explore! Make new friends and have lots of fun as you discover the wildlife, woods, and water around you. Find out what tiny animals live in ponds, go swimming, have a picnic lunch at a lake and create your own crafts.

Outdoor Skills Extreme
Ages 13-15 July 25-30

This camp is for teens that are ready for the next step in outdoor adventure. Develop your skills in wilderness first aid, GPS use, lure-making, and sleep one night in your own shelter. Spend a day canoeing down the Wisconsin River to a 50 acre island for an overnight camp-out extravaganza!

Natural Resources Careers Camp
Ages 15-18  July 25-30

This camp can help outdoor-lovers discover exciting careers at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point College of Natural Resources. Spend a day touring the campus. Meet with professionals in wildlife management, fisheries, soils, forestry, and environmental education. Tour a fish hatchery, meet a game warden and take a step towards your future.

Sky’s the Limit
Ages 11-13 August 1-6

Reach for the sky during this choice camp where you can choose from activities such as canoeing, star-gazing, swimming, tree-climbing and much more. Create camp memories with new and old friends. Experience the wonder of the outdoors on an overnight camping trip where you will pitch your own tent, cook over an open fire, and sleep under the stars.

Adventure Race Camp
Ages 12-14 August 8-13

Join us for a week full of adventures. Challenge yourself on a high ropes course and a climbing wall. Enjoy a day geo-caching in central Wisconsin and canoeing down the Plover River. This will be a week to remember!


Adventure Trips


Sea Kayak Trip
Ages 15-17 June 20-25

Enjoy hiking on pristine beaches, viewing abundant wildlife, and spending two nights on the Apostle Islands. This trip is well within the ability of beginners that are in good physical shape. Explore sea caves and Lake Superior in tandem kayaks. This will be the journey of a lifetime. Trip led by CWES Director Scott Johnson


Backpack with a Splash
Ages 12–14 July 11-16

Are you ready for an adventure? How about two? This trip will allow you three days of backpacking through northern Michigan's Porcupine Mountain State Park and a morning of rafting on Wisconsin's Peshtigo River. Be prepared for 5-7 miles of hiking each day.

Day Camps

Day camps are for your son or daughter who is ready for the camp experience, but unsure about staying overnight. We will keep your camper engaged making crafts, playing games, and enjoying the waterfront.

Day camps run from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and include a morning snack, lunch, and a mid-afternoon snack.

Family Camp

Family Weekend
All ages July 9 - 11
$375 for a family of 4 Each additional person is $60, with a maximum of 8 people per cabin


CWES's family camp is the perfect getaway. Enjoy a relaxing weekend of swimming, boating, crafts, and campfires. Package includes lodging on Friday and Saturday night in a log cabin or lodge as well as dinner on Friday night, three meals on Saturday, and breakfast Sunday.

Complete and submit your registration form along with your deposit as soon as possible as camps fill up quickly.  Your final balance is due 3 weeks prior to your camp.  See you on the water!
