Summer Camps

Everything Under the Sun     Ages 9-11

June 14-19      $325...with horseback riding $360

This exciting camp allows you to choose your own fun. Options include tree climbing, kayaking, archery, and horse-back riding. Traditional camp activities such as campfires, crafts, swimming, and fishing will keep campers active and engaged all week long!

 

Outdoor Skills    Ages 10-12

June 21-26     $325

Learn the techniques of traveling with a map and compass, fly-tying, fire building, and shelter creation. Test your skills at the end of the week and your team’s picture could be the next in the CWES Outdoor Skills Hall of Fame!

 

Earth Explorers     Ages 7-9

July 7-10     $235

Ready. Set. Explore! Make new friends and gain independence as you discover the wildlife, woods, and water around you. Pond exploration, swimming, and crafts are only the beginning of the fun.

 

Outdoor Skills II     Ages 13-15

July 12-17     $355

If you’re ready for the next step up in outdoor adventure and wilderness survival, this camp is for you! Develop your abilities in wilderness first aid, camp cooking, GPS use, and lure making. Spend a full day canoeing down the Wisconsin River to a 50 acre island for an overnight camp-out extravaganza!

 

Natural Resources Careers Camp     Ages 15-18

July 26-31     $325

If you love spending time in the outdoors, this camp can help you discover exciting careers at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point College of Natural Resources. We will meet with professionals in wildlife management, fisheries, forestry, environmental education and enjoy behind the scenes tours. There will be plenty of time for relaxing and networking with other students who share your interest in the environment.

 

Sky's the Limit     Ages 11-13

August 2-7     $325... with horseback riding $360

Reach for the sky as you try exciting new activities such as canoeing, star-gazing, group challenges, pond exploration, and horseback riding. Enjoy an overnight camp out that allows you to pitch your own tent and cook over an open fire. Create camp memories with your friends as you experience a variety of hands-on activities.

 

NEW! Adventure Race Camp     Ages 12-14

August 9-14     $360

Join us for the adventure of a lifetime as you challenge yourself on a high ropes course and climbing wall. Enjoy a day canoeing a local river and geocaching throughout central Wisconsin. We will even spend an afternoon backpacking to a campsite where you can pitch your own tent. This will be a week to remember!

 

Trip Camps

Flambeau River Trip     Ages 13-15

June 14-19     $375

Hold on to your paddles! On this trip, you will spend four days and three nights experiencing 41 miles of scenic beauty on the North Fork of the Flambeau River. Expect to start out slow and finish the week with rocking whitewater rapids.

Backpack with a Splash     Ages 12–14

Trip is now full and we are no longer accepting registrations.

June 21-26     $375

Are you ready for an adventure? How about two? This trip will allow you three days of backpacking through northern Michigan’s Porcupine Mountain State Park and a morning of rafting on Wisconsin’s Peshtigo River.

Rock the River and Bluffs     Ages 12-14

Trip is now full and we are no longer accepting registrations.

July 12-17     $375

Travel to the lower Wisconsin Riverway to canoe the path of the voyageurs. Then spend a day rock climbing with professional guides at the Midwest’s premier climbing location, Devil’s Lake State Park. Explore “Devil’s Doorway” and “Balancing Rock” before returning to CWES.

Earth and Sky Trip     Ages 15-17

July 26-31     $450

Spelunking and rock-climbing combined into one exciting week. Who could ask for more? Explore a southwest Wisconsin cave and spend two days rappelling and rock climbing at Devil’s Lake State Park.

Family Camp 

Family Camp is now full and we are no longer accepting registrations.

Family Weekend     All ages

July 24 - 26     $350 for a family of 4 Each additional person is $50, with a maximum of 8 people per cabin

CWES's family camp is the perfect getaway. Enjoy a relaxing weekend of swimming, boating, crafts, and campfires. Package includes lodging on Friday and Saturday night in a Scandinavian style log cabin as well as three meals on Saturday, and breakfast Sunday.

 

Day Camps                        Packing list for day camps

Day camps are the place for your son or daughter who is ready for the camp experience, but unsure about staying overnight. We will keep your camper engaged making crafts, playing games, and enjoying the waterfront. Day camps run from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and include a morning snack, lunch, and a mid-afternoon snack.
