EXHIBIT: Project or Research

Each group of students participating in the conference is expected to bring
a tabletop exhibit about a forest-related project or research they are conducting that addresses one or more of the conference tracks of forest and climate change, forest invasive species, or forest land-use issues.

We've put together a list of RESOURCES you can consult in the process of developing your project or conducting your research.

EXHIBITS should contain the following information:

  • Project or Research Title
  • School Name
  • City
  • Ultimate goal of the effort, including its importance
  • Brief explanation of the project or research, including the process used to
    complete it
  • Summarized results
  • Any conclusions, recommendations, actions taken, and next steps
  • Photographs and images of the project - use whenever possible
EXHIBIT HALL OVERVIEW
  • Groups will be provided with a 2' by 6' table on which to place their materials. All exhibits must be free-standing. No wall space or easels will be available.
  • At minimum, each student exhibit MUST include a poster display. Accompanying items should enhance the display. Ideas include equipment used in in the project (if applicable), handouts, maps, charts etc.
  • Computer-based resources can be used to enhance the exhibit but cannot be the only part of the exhibit.
  • Electricity is NOT available.
  • Your exhibit should be hosted by at least one representative from your group at all times during the exhibit session. Take turns so everyone has an opportunity to visit the other exhibits.
  • On the day of the conference, reviewers will visit each exhibit. They will provide written feedback to each group. Reviews will be based on how well each exhibit meets the guidelines above.
  • Students participating in the conference will vote for their favorite exhibit based on educational content and creativity. An award will be given to the winning group.
