Hello.  I am from the Auburndale School District.  We are having a family health, art, and science night here at our school on April 12th from 5:30-7:30pm.  Students as well as area people will have projects on display relating to the above fields.  I am wondering if any of your students might be interested in creating a display about something relating to natural resources.  The event is centered around family learning and will be viewed in a "science fair" format.  Let me know if any of your students might be interested.  Thank you for your time!

Do you have any recruiting or informational packets for prospective students?

Good Morning,

My name is Cari and I am working with Brian Gaber on updating the Adopt-A-Highway Program for the Department of Transportation. The group Environmental Educators & Naturalists Association has come up on our list as potentially inactive as we do not have any clean up reports on file for the group. This may be a result of our continued vacancy of our Adopt-A-Highway Coordinator position. The continued vacancy has caused some confusion as to where to send clean up reports and who to contact. Also, while conducting my updates of the program I have noticed that not all groups were informed about clean up reports and their importance to us, if this is the situation with your group please let me know so that I can give you the proper information.

I am wondering if the group is still interested in their segment located on I-39 from Birch Drive to STH 54 North Bound or if they would like to disband. I have a group contact listed as Kimberly Meloney, however since our records are not up to date I am unable to reach her.

Please contact me with the group’s intentions for the program as soon as possible at cari.pagel@dot.wi.gov or 715-365-3490 Monday-Friday 7:45-4:30.

Thank you!

My son will be graduating in June of 2013. He has expressed an interest in the area of Natural Resources at UWSP. Can you please send us information on the different majors and course outline for a four year program in each? Math is not his strong point so a major that isn't too intensive in that area would be excellent. We are also interested in any scholarship information that is available. He is currently a member of the NCSA and excels in football and track and field.

Thank you so very much for all your time and consideration.

Do options still exist for forestry students to do management plans for/with private landowners? I was told this existed in the past. Thank you!

I am in Comm. 356. My partner and I are making a virtual tour video of the campus. We'd like to feature Al the Alligator in our discussion of the Natural Resource Building. Would it be possible to set up an appointment to videotape him while he's being fed and/or doing something exciting? Please let us know. Thank you!

I'm going to the transfer student orientation and registration day this weekend. Is an appointment with an adviser from the department already scheduled for me or do I need to make one?

I have a unusual question, and not sure if you could give me an answer. Can you tell me what variety of tree or crab apple that is in front of the building between Quant and Berg Gym facing Fourth Ave. ? They are really nicely shaped and have beautiful blossoms right now in a lavender or purple color. Thank you.

I was recently accepted to UWSP and am thinking about enrolling for the fall 2012 semester. I was going to come visit on tuesday the 24th of April and was wondering if there was someone in the college of natural resources (specifically wildlife ecology) that I could speak to.                                                    Thanks,                                                                                                                            Phil mack

I would like more information on the opportunity to obtain a master's degree in wildlife ecology.  There is little information on the web page concering graduate research, funding opportunities, etc.  I would appreciate more information on that. Thank you!

When Sue K. gave her CNR presentation at the 4/21 ViewPoint Day, I thought she mentioned a week long summer camp for prospective UWSP students.  Did I misunderstand; I can't seem to find any information regarding this opportunity.

Hi, is your school still accredited by the Society of American Foresters?  I was on their website and it says it expired last year. It might have been a typo, so I just wanted to check.
