Renewable Energy and Sustainable Living Fair June 23-25, 2006 ReNew the Earth Institute, Custer, Wisconsin (just 7 miles east of Stevens Point)
Each year thousands of people from around the world celebrate the summer solstice at MREA's Renewable Energy and Sustainable Living Fair. This three-day festival is the world's largest venue to learn about renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable living. Offering workshops, exhibits, and entertainment, the Fair provides a festival atmosphere and is fun for the whole family.
June 30 - July 2, 2006 - Riverfront Rendezvous
Come take a break after all your hard work for a fun-filled weekend event called Riverfront Rendezvous, a musical celebration of the 4th of July. Admission is free - there will be activities for kids, music for adults and a spectacular fireworks show.

This conference is hosted and presented by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium.
This is the third in a series of international conferences on large river basins. This conference, which has been endorsed by the Smithsonian Institution, is targeted for a multidisciplinary audience from the sciences, arts, and humanities, as well as other groups who manage and use riverine resources. Headlining the conference will be Jared Diamond, winner of a Pulitzer Prize.
