Sleeping rooms are being held for conference participants at the Country Springs Hotel Conference and Convention Center in Stevens Point. The Country Springs is the conference site and will host general sessions and meetings for EMSU 2006. To make reservations call 1-800-998-2311 or visit the hotel Web site for email contact information and on-line reservations (available soon). Conference registrants staying at the Country Springs should specify the EMSU conference code, GEMCONF06, to obtain the preferred rate. The Country Springs Hotel has wireless Internet service available.

Traveling to Stevens Point

The nearest airport is Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA), also referred to as Wausau Airport. This airport is about 15 miles north of Stevens Point. The Country Springs Hotel, the venue for EMSU 2006, will provide free shuttle service for conference delegates who stay at the hotel and fly into CWA. Other airport destinations in the region include Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, about 200 miles west of Stevens Point; Chicago, Illinois, about 250 miles southeast; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, about 175 miles southeast.
