The online M.S. degree programs provides graduates with relevant advanced professional knowledge and skills. This is a non-thesis program and is not intended to prepare graduates for doctoral programs. You can choose between two options to complete the online M.S.
Non-thesis Project Option
30 credits: 8 credits required courses + 16 credits electives + 6 credits graduate project
Project: Independent research paper on a topic relating to your professional situation and approved by your advisor.
Non-thesis Comprehensive Exam Option
36 credits: 8 credits required courses + 28 credits electives
A candidate must pass a comprehensive written exam upon completion of coursework.
Within 7 years of acceptance into the program, all candidates must complete all of the following minimum requirements to receive their degree:
1. Fulfill 30-36 hours of coursework as detailed by you and your advisor in
your personalized Program of Study.
2. At least 15 credits must be in courses numbered 700 and above.
3. Candidates must take graduate courses in at least three disciplines
(e.g., natural resources, education, forestry, wildlife).
