The Wisconsin Environmental Education Board reminds applicants that the grant program uses a competitive review process to select grant recipients. A proposal funded during one grant cycle may not be funded during a subsequent cycle since it will be competing within a different applicant pool.
Copies of previously funded proposals are housed as government documents at the state depository libraries. Each volume in the series contains photocopies of the complete proposal for funded grants in a given year, beginning in 1990. School Forest Education Plan proposals are not included as they typically follow the provided WEEB sample. Request each volume by its call number: ED.1/2:E 58/ 2/ XXXX (where XXXX = year). Most recent year is 2015.
Patrons unable to visit a depository library may request volumes be delivered to the local library via the Wisconsin Interlibrary Loan System.
For convenience, a few sample proposals are provided below.
Previous Grant Cycle Samples
below were created for earlier grant cycles and therefore may not
reflect all the 2016 program requirements (e.g., priorities, grant award
limits, capital limits, site enhancement limits, etc. may have changed).
It is the grant writer's responsibility to adhere to all directions for the 2016 grant cycle. Samples from previous cycles are provided in both pdf and Word file formats.
