Annual Conference

WAEE Annual Conference is an annual event for both members and non-members. Held at different locations around the state, this conference offers an excellent opportunity for educators, administrators, students and others interested in environmental education to network, share and learn.

The conference theme varies, focusing each year on a unique aspect of environmental education. With concurrent sessions, workshops, field trips, speakers, exhibits and entertainment, this conference offers something for everyone. Participants attending the conference gain new knowledge and ideas, get a wonderful chance to network, and come away filled with enthusiasm and inspiration.

The conference is run by a committee of volunteers who work throughout the year to organize and promote the event. If you are interested in getting involved with conference planning, please contact the WAEE office.

Each year WAEE hosts an Annual Conference where environmental educators from across the state gather to learn from one another, meet others in the field and gain inspiration for what we do and who we teach. In 2013, the WAEE Annual Conference is heading to LaCrosse! WAEE is partnering with local schools, nature centers, and businesses to bring our members to an area of the state with beautiful natural areas and vast opportunities for environmental education. Local entertainment, foods, and field trips are just some of the neat things LaCrosse has to offer WAEE members. The site for this year’s conference is UW-LaCrosse and Myrick Hixon EcoPark.
