School Grounds: Open the Door and Step Outside!
Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 10am -3pmWausau, Wisconsin
Educational Opportunities abound when you open the door and step outside!
Have you ever wanted to use your school grounds as a place to help your students learn math, art, English, or social studies concepts? Field Day is a chance to learn from others and share your experience….no matter what subjects you teach!
Join LEAF staff and other educators as we tour three school sites in the Wausau area to learn how teachers connect their school grounds to classroom curriculum.
We will begin the day at DC Everest Middle School in Schofield.
Field Day is FREE of charge and includes:
• Visits to three exceptional school sites
• Networking with others who share your passion
• Resources to take back to your classroom
• A nice luncheon
LEAF’s Annual Field Day is an opportunity to get together with others who share your commitment to environmental education and using our school grounds as outdoor classrooms. Whether you spend time teaching outdoors every day, just once or twice a year, or want to begin stepping out the door to learn with your students, Field Day is a wonderful opportunity to share your experiences and learn more from your peers.
Please RSVP by JUNE 8th to Gretchen at firstname.lastname@example.org
