CWES is now Accredited by the American Camp Association!

ACA Acreditation: While we have always run a clean, organized, safe and fun camp, we decided to make it official by applying for American Camp Association (ACA) Accreditation in 2014. During an extensive eight-month process, CWES submitted to a thorough review of its operation by the ACA — up to 300 standards. American Camp Association collaborates with experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, and other youth-serving agencies to assure that current practices at the camp reflect the most up-to-date, research-based standards in camp operation.

We are now officially American Camp Association Accredited, one of only 78 camps in the entire country to achieve first-time accreditation in 2014. CWES and ACA form a partnership promoting summers of growth and fun in an environment committed to safety. For more parent-focused information about accreditation, visit ACA’s www.CampParents.org, and watch this video to learn about the benefits of sending your child to an ACA accredited camp from the CEO of ACA, Tom Holland.
