Kenneth W. Boylan Scholarship in Mathematics $300 each (2 awards) |
Mathematics major in the 2nd,
3rd, or 4th semester. A second scholarship is awarded to a mathematics major
in the 5th, 6th, or 7th semester. Recipients are chosen by faculty based on
applications received from students. Scholarships are applied to the
following semester's tuition. |

Center for Athletic Scheduling
(CAS) Scholarship $500 in 2009 |
Freshman or sophomore mathematics major. Current and former CAS staff
members are not eligible. Scholarship is applied to Fall semester tuition. |

Joseph V. Collins Award $200, amount may vary |
Mathematics major who graduated previous August or December, or who will
graduate in May. Recipient is chosen by faculty in March. |

Freshman Mathematics Cooperative $1,000 work study program in mathematics |
Central Wisconsin Mathematics
League Standing, exhibited scholarship, character and leadership in high
school. Recipient is chosen by faculty in February. |

Bert Hutchinson Memorial Scholarship $500 each (2 awards) |
Elementary
Education major with
mathematics minor who has completed Math 228 and 338, and who has completed
or is enrolled in Math 359 or 369 or 355. One scholarship is awarded in
November and is applied to Spring semester tuition. A second scholarship is
awarded in March and is applied to Fall semester tuition. Recipients are
chosen by faculty based on applications received from students. |

Charles H. Johnson Scholarship in Actuarial Mathematics $400, amount may vary |
Junior or senior mathematics
major with minimum 3.0 GPA and enrolled in or completed at least one
actuarial seminar or passed at least one actuarial exam. Recipient is
chosen by faculty in March based on applications from students. Award is
applied to Fall semester tuition. |

Orville Rice Family Scholarship $500, number and amount may vary |
Junior or senior mathematics
major with minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum 3.4 GPA in
mathematics major courses.
Must have completed at least four mathematics-major courses. Preference
given to minority students. Recipient is chosen by faculty in March based
on applications received from students.
Award is applied to Fall semester tuition. |

Outstanding junior or senior mathematics major with a minimum GPA of 3.25.
Special consideration is given to students pursuing actuarial sciences in
honor of Carl N. Jacobs. Awarded: Spring |

Thalacker-Trytten Scholarship $1,800 in 2009 ($900 each semester) |
Junior or senior chemistry, physics or
mathematics major with minimum GPA of 3.0. Student must be pursuing a
career in teaching secondary education or intending to continue graduate
studies in chemistry, physics or mathematics. Scholarship applied equally
towards Fall and Spring tuition for one student. AWARDED: Spring |
