Presentation by the Dalai Lama – Madison

Sixteen students in Religious Studies and Philosophy attended teachings by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in Madison, WI, May 2-4.  Funded by a grant from the College of Letters and Sciences, this field trip offered students a chance to hear Buddhist teachings in a traditional context, learn more about Tibetan religion and culture, and to witness an empowerment or blessing ceremony focused on the female Buddha, Green Tara – Professor Alice Keefe.
