We provide a nationally accredited morning program for preschool children from 2 to 5 years old. The preschool is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm. UWSP students, faculty, staff and alumni may apply.

A positive early start sets the stage for later learning. Our Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten classes offer opportunities to allow children to build on their level of understanding.

We encourage:

• Mastering large and small motor skills
• Awareness of five senses
• Developing good self image
• Mastering more independence and self help
• Self expression skills
• Developing healthy social relations
• Respecting diversity
• Relationships in place, size, weight, numbers, letters, etc.
• Clarification of color geometric spaces, family, animals, foods, etc.
• Exploring language, art, drama, music, science, literature
• Encouraging curiosity and problem solving
• Enhancing creativity in play and thought

The curriculum is developmentally appropriate and atmosphere is age-appropriate, family centered and nurturing.

Offered during the 2008-2009 Academic Year:

• Semester I - September 2 - December 19, 2008
• Semester II - January 20 - May 15, 2009

Programs Offered:

• 2-Year old: daily Monday - Friday from 9:30 - 10:30
• 3-Year old: daily Monday - Friday from 9:15 - 11:45
• 4-Year old: daily Monday - Friday from 9:15 - 11:45 (Pre-K*)

All programs have flexible daily scheduling. You may sign up for 1-5 sessions per week. Parents are welcome to visit their child anytime during the day.
