University Child Learning and Care Center Curriculum Summary

Bunny Group

Elizabeth Pries

We believe that play is the work of children and that all bunny 4.jpgdevelopmental needs can be met through “play”. We value each child and their unique ideas, interests and ways of learning. We also value various forms of creativity and offer all children opportunities to explore it in a meaningful way.
The typical day in our 2 year old classroom will involve lots of child led learning with teacher support. Children are encouraged to explore their interests and curiosities and are provided activities to help deepen their understanding and interest in the world around them. Our classroom is set up so that children feel safe, cared for and comfortable enough to take risks and explore.  Children are also developing their social/emotional skills and are supported in this, by teachers who understand child development and will help children understand their emotions and what it means to care for others.
