High School Chemistry Senior Award Purpose: To recognize and encourage high school students who have demonstrated a high degree of self-discipline and motivation in the pursuit of the science of Chemistry. Nature: The award, consisting of $200 and a plaque, is presented annually in the Spring at an award banquet at which the recipient and his/her teacher are guests of the Section. Establishment and Support: The award was established in 1976 and is supported by the Central Wisconsin Section and Sentry Insurance Company. Since 1981 the award has been solely supported by the Central Wisconsin Section. Rules of Eligibility: The recipient must have taken at least one year of high school chemistry at the senior high level and be a student in his last year in a high within the boundaries of the Central Wisconsin Section.
