Student Information

 Text Rental >

  A unique service available to you as a student at UWSP. It is a rental library system where you will check out most of your course books and return them at the end of the semester.

Cost >

  Rental fees are calculated on a per credit basis. A full-time regular  undergraduate UWSP student pays $65.40 per semester (September 2007) to rent approximately $300+ worth of textbooks. The fee is automatically included in tuition.

The cost of books and supplies for the academic year does not vary much from two-year to four-year institutions, or from public to private schools. The expense for books and supplies ranged from $745 to $843 in 2003-04 according to figures reported by The College Board.   (Chronicle of Higher Education - August 27, 2004)

 Process >

  Students can print out a listing of courses and the rental textbooks requested for each class at their UWSP portal web page: http://myPoint.uwsp.edu/ The booklist can be used to help locate required rental books, which are arranged alphabetically by subject. A UWSP I.D. card is required to scan each book on the student account. All rental books must be returned by the LAST day of final exams.

Advantages >

  * Save money
