10. When do I have until to return my rental books?

By the LAST day of finals. (If enrolled in a 4 or 8 week course, return books by the last day of class - next session needs them.)

9. What if I forget to return my Text Rental books at the end of the semester?

Textbooks not returned by the deadline will be billed to your student account along with a $3.00 processing fee. (You will then own them.)

8. What if I drop a class?

Return the book immediately. Students adding the class may need to use the book.

7. May I purchase a rental book?

Yes, a student may purchase any rental book they are using for a course at a used price.

6. May I check out additional books?

After the third week of classes, Text Rental becomes a library, and any student may check out any books on the shelves.

5. When do the surplus book sales begin?

Surplus book sales usually begin the 4th week of each semester with prices between $1.00 - $5.00 per book. (Look for the 'All-You-Can-Carry' for $10.00 special.)

4. Do graduate students pay rental fees?

No. The graduate course tuition does not include rental fees. If a rental book is needed for a grad level course, the student can pay a rental fee at Text Rental when picking up the book.

3. How much money do I save with Text Rental?

Students save approximately $200.00 - $400.00 per semester with UWSP Text Rental Program. Student Spending In 2006-2007, students spent an average of $775 in the college store. The average reported for 2005-2006 was $763 per student. The cost of books and supplies for the academic year does not vary much from two-year to four-year institutions, or from public to private schools. The expense for books and supplies rose from $801-$904 last year to $850-$942 for 2006-2007 according to figures reported by The College Board. 2. What is the current Text Rental rate?

A full-time regular undergraduate UWSP student pays $67.80 per semester (September 2010) to rent approximately $300+ worth of textbooks. The fee is automatically included in tuition.
