Steps to Becoming a Tutor
"Ideally, I like to structure my lesson plans to take advantage of those times when I have a tutor in the room, allowing them to work directly with the students with hands-on activities. This is helpful for me, for my students, and gives tutors an invaluable opportunity to build their confidence in working with students. At the end of the semester, I consider our partnership successful if the tutor walks out feeling equipped to take the next step in their professional development because of confidence and skills developed during their time in the classroom and if my students and myself have a genuine sense of missing their presence in our room."
