Service Trips
Rushford Trip
Why Rushford, MN?
In mid-August, southwest Wisconsin and southeast Minnesota were hit with a lot of flooding. Rushford, MN, a small town of about 1,500 people, was one place that experienced flooding. Water poured over the dikes, destroying homes and businesses. The town is in ruins and a lot of people are out of a job.
What will we be doing?
Student volunteers will be partnering with the local United Way in Olmsted County to clean up damage from the flood and possibly begin to rebuild. The United Way will not know until the end of September exactly where we will be needed, but volunteers will continue to be essential in October when we are going to help. If you are interested in viewing the current flood clean up needs, visit
www.volunteersolutions.org/olmsted.

Where will we be staying?

What is this going to cost me?
The cost of the trip is $45.00 per person. This includes travel, camping, meals on Saturday and Sunday, and work supplies.
