Rushford Flood Clean-up Weekend - October 5 - 7, 2007
In mid-August 2007, southwest Wisconsin and southeast Minnesota were hit with a lot of flooding. Rushford, MN, a small town of about 1,500 people, was one place that experienced flooding. Water poured over the dikes, destroying homes and businesses. The town was in ruins and a lot of people were out of a job.
In October of 2007, six UWSP students traveled to Rushford to help with the cleanup efforts.

Camp Heartland - January 5 - 12, 2008
Six UWSP students traveled to Rushford, MN to help clean and maintain a camp for children affected with HIV/AIDS. Some service projects included organizing and sharpening ice skates, painting shelves, organizing a donation warehouse and gaining an understanding of the HIV/AIDS virus.

Intercity Impact - Milwaukee - October 24 - 28, 2008
Fifteen UWSP students spent the weekend in Milwaukee, WI volunteering with various organizations dealing with hunger and homelessness issues and learning about the causes. Service projects included a large mailing project for the Guest House of Milwaukee and making and delivering a meal at the Campus Kitchens Project at Marquette University.

Serve Chicago - March 15-21, 2009
Ten students spent their spring break in Chicago volunteering with various organizations in the city.
On Monday, students worked with the Working Bikes Cooperative to transfer bikes from the old warehouse to the new.
Tuesday, they worked with the Night Ministry, an organization that provides services for the homeless.
Wednesday, H.O.M.E. a non-profit that provides housing for low-income seniors, UWSP students finished a large spring cleaning project.
Friday's service project was planting daffodils in Grant Park with the American Cancer Society.
