What is it all about?
The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point helps the BloodCenter of WI and the American Red Cross in reaching out to those in need of blood donations. Four times a year, we invite students, community members, and faculty of UWSP to leave their mark on the community, or even the country, by donating whole blood, double red cells, or platelets.
Who can donate?
To donate blood you must be at least 17 years of age and weighing at least 110 pounds. You will also need a student ID, drivers license or donor card.
If you have gotten a tattoo or piercing from a licensed Wisconsin parlor, you now have no waiting period to give blood.
Anyone feeling healthy the day of donation may donate. You can give right away!
Appointments are encouraged and walk-ins are accepted. To schedule an appointment, please e-mail Ruth Welhouse at rwelh719@uwsp.edu.
