STUDENT EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION AND WAGE RATE SCHEDULE

DIVISION I - LABOR AND ATTENDANT POSITIONS ($6.50-$10.00 )
- Class A. Simple attendant duties. Little responsibility.
- Class B. Simple attendant duties. Added responsibility and work involvement.
- Class C. Unskilled labor. Some exertion required, but no strenuous activity. Responsibility in some cases.
- Class D. Skilled labor. More exertion than Class C. Strenuous activity, responsibility.

DIVISION II - CLERICAL ($6.50-$10.00)
- Class A. Simple clerical tasks, unskilled work. Requires supervision.
- Class B. Clerical assistant. Added responsibility, less supervision needed.
- Class C. Skilled clerical assistant, with experience. Little supervision needed.
- Class D. Highly skilled clerical assistant, with experience. Little or no supervision needed.

DIVISION III - TECHNICAL ($6.50-$10.00)
- Class A. Minimal technical knowledge and responsibility required. Works under supervision.
- Class B. More technical knowledge required. Added responsibility, less supervision.
- Class C. Highly skilled technical abilities. Makes decisions, little or no supervision required.
- Class D. Advanced technical knowledge required. Works independently. May supervise other students.

- Class A. Assists instructors. Works under supervision.
- Class B. Assists instructors and performs classroom duties. May work independently.
- Class C. Highly skilled assistant with experience. Makes decisions, little or no supervision required.
- Class D Advanced knowledge in discipline required. Works independently. May supervise other students.

DIVISION V - ADMINISTRATIVE/SUPERVISORY ($6.50-$12.50)
- WORKS INDEPENDENTLY: Work requires personal judgment and initiative. May supervise other students. (6.50-10.00)

Exceptions to wage rates are made by the Personnel Director. See HANDBOOK, P 11.
All base wages are calculated at the suggested UWSP student employee minimum wage of $6.50/hour.
