Salvation Army Hope Center Volunteer Crew

Various Fridays all semester, 1 – 3:30 p.m.

Would you like to make a difference for local people who are hungry or homeless?  Have you been looking for an ongoing volunteer opportunity but wish it could be more social?  SERVE has the project for you!

This semester, SERVE has partnered with the Salvation Army Hope Center.  The Hope Center is Portage County’s only homeless shelter and is the only place that serves three meals a day, seven days a week.  Last year, the Hope Center served 25,000 meals!  It is located on Briggs St., right behind the YMCA.

Our main responsibility will be to maintain the Hope Center’s food pantry.  Depending on the Hope Center’s needs, we may also help with small maintenance or cleaning projects.

Each Friday’s volunteer crew is limited to 8 volunteers.  Please sign up for the Friday(s) you’d like to join us.
