
Make a Difference Day
Saturday, October 25th from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Volunteers will help rake leaves for those in the community who may be disabled, elderly, frail, or those who are no longer physically able to take on such a large task and do not have family in the area to help them out. By spending a few hours of your day raking leaves on a Saturday morning you can make a difference in people's lives!
Empty Bowls
Saturday, October 18. 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at SPASH. Empty Bowls is a community project to raise money for local hunger prevention efforts. For $10 you get to choose a bowl created by local potters, community members, and students. Empty Bowls needs volunteers! For more information, check out the Empty Bowls website:

Travel AND care for the earth?
An environmental service trip is the opportunity to travel to another part of the country and volunteer for a week on one of the region's environmental concerns, such as working with threatened animal species in New Orleans or working on preserving trails in the Appalachian Mountains.
