Hello! I am Kristy Madaus, a Health Advocate for the Student Health Promotion Office in the Allen Center and a Liaison for May Roach Hall. This is my second year at UWSP after transferring from UW Waukesha where I first started college. I am originally from West Allis (suburb of Milwaukee). In West Allis I work as a server Houlihans. While in Stevens Point, I am currently working as an instructor for group fitness. I teach the toning classes Body Fit and Step Aerobics. Working out is one of my favorite hobbies, so teaching the fitness classes is a lot of fun – you meet a lot of really great people and get paid to workout, how cool is that? I am hoping to graduate from Stevens Point by May 2009 with a major in Health Promotions and a minor in Nutrition. I hope my degree will one day lead me to working at a school to help plan programs and events to get kids, teens, and young adults involved in active lifestyles at a younger age to take with them as they grow older and healthier.
