Dance in this beginning class.
This class will deepen your awareness of your body through exploration of
movements isolations and basic steps.
Posture and core strengthening will be focused on through out the
session. This class will
complement any level of ability and focus on the creative aspect of movement
expressed through belly dance.

PILATES:

Professional Dance in NYC, Trained at The Pilates Studio w/ Romana
Kryzanowska; Lydia Walters, Certified Instructor:
An intense workout involving
intermediate to advanced exercises for strengthening and supporting the
muscles of the core of the body as a power center. Pilates is a vigorous
workout for those who have mastered the fundamentals and are ready to take
on a new challenge. Each exercise focuses on a specific muscle or
group of muscles and conditions the body in a safe, controlled way.
YOGA:
Meditation and Yoga, Maureen Houlihan, Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor:
Leave the stress of the day behind as you step onto your yoga mat and move
through postures that lift your spirits and settle your mind. Then
delve deeply into your Self with soothing and rejuvenating guided
meditations.
Basic Yoga, Stella McDonald, Certified Yoga
Instructor:
Yoga basics is for beginners, (those who have some background to no
background in yoga.) An introduction to basic postures will be
explored, as well as proper alignment, and breath. Individual growth
will be encouraged so students can use yoga in their daily lives at home.
(This is basic hatha yoga).

Yoga is a stronger form of
Hatha Yoga which creates a sequence or flow of postures utilizing the breath
as the energy source carrying you through the practice. In addition to
providing mental clarity and stress reduction, this practice also develops
the physical body, thus bringing balance and good health to both mind and
body. By challenging the physical body we reap the benefits of
improved health, strength and general well-being.
