About Centertainment

• Concerts

  This area is responsible for providing students with regional and national musical entertainment. Concerts focus on "up-and-coming" artists that are larger in current status and production.

• Alternative Sounds

  This area is responsible for bringing music to campus that is ahead of the trends and outside the norm for the campus. This individual utilizes a combination of national and regional acts, as well as local talent.

• Center Stage

  This area is responsible for providing students with the opportunity to experience local fine arts, art performances, and student performances. The Center Stage Coordinator utilizes campus resources and national talent for programming.

• Club/Variety

  This area is responsible for programming national comedians, variety acts and local talent. This individual provides students with the opportunity to experience a different type of entertainment.

• Special Events

  This area is responsible for providing programs that involve students who have children, allowing them to be more a part of the university system. This individual also programs other special events that occur throughout the year.

• Travel and Leisure

  This area is responsible for providing programs that involve trips, games, sporting activities, etc. This individual provides students with innovative recreational indoor and outdoor activities.

• Issues and Ideas

  This area is responsible for providing students with programs that educate while entertaining. These programs include lectures and mini-courses about different people, places and points of view.

• Cinema

  The Centertainment Productions Cinema Coordinator is responsible for providing students with a wide variety of films. The primary function of this individual is to provide a cultural experience through visual entertainment. (Showtimes)

• Centercase for the Arts

  This area is responsible for providing art exhibitions for the Centercase for the Arts in the Dreyfus University Center Laird Concourse and Lounge. The Centercase Coordinator has had many UW-SP students display works of art.
