A sales receipt is required for all
returns
Your return/exchange deadlines for textbooks
purchased at the University Store in the 2008-09 academic year are:
Fall 2009
Full semester course
Tuesday, September 15, 2009
First eight week courses
Tuesday, September 8, 2009
Second eight week courses
Thursday, October 29, 2009
You cannot make returns on
supplemental books after these dates.
Additionally, you must meet the following criteria
in order to make a return on supplemental books:
- You must present the original cash register
receipt
- If you purchased a book as “new” it must be
returned in new condition (i.e. no marks or highlights, no bent
or torn pages or covers, shrink wrap is intact)
- If you purchased a book as “used” it must be
returned in re-sellable condition (i.e. no water damage or
missing pages)
- If you find that your book is defective you
may be exchange it for non-defective book at anytime during the
semester with the original cash register receipt. Please make
these exchanges as soon as you realize the defect
- You will be credited in the same manner in
which you purchased the book (i.e., returned to the same credit
card it was purchased on)
Clothing, School & Art
Supplies, Gifts & Other Merchandise
You are allowed
30-days from the date of
purchase to return all non-book merchandise with the original
cash register receipt.*
Additionally, you must meet the following
conditions for returns of non-book merchandise—
- You must present the
original cash register
receipt
- You can only return merchandise in new,
unused condition, with packaging/tags still intact.
- You are not able to return merchandise
specific to a season or Holiday (i.e. Thanksgiving, Halloween,
Christmas)
- You may return or exchange defective
merchandise at the discretion of the department or store
manager.
*The store manager may extend the
return/exchange period over the winter break for gift (non-seasonal)
purchases. If you make a purchase
in December 2009 you may
return the items through the first week of classes of the following
Spring Semester. You may return items through
Friday, January 29, 2010
with the original cash register receipt for the 2008-09 school year.

All
Refunds will be processed as follows:
- Full refund with original cash register
receipt
- Exchanges only
without receipt, at the discretion of the department or store
manager
- Exchanged for the identical product OR
- The lowest retail sale price of the last
two semesters applied to exchange process on item being
returned.
- Products marked with colored slashes through
the merchandise PLU are not able to be returned or exchanged for
any reason
- Customers returning online purchases will be
refunded according to the full page invoice shipped with the
merchandise. Shipping and handling charges will not be refunded.
