Welcome

Welcome to the University Centers at UWSP. Three buildings make up the University Centers - Allen Health and Wellness Center, DeBot Residential Dining Center, and the Dreyfus University Center. The University Centers are the "community centers" of UWSP, serving students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests. The Centers offer a variety of programs, activities, services, and facilities that represent a well-considered plan for community life at UW-Stevens Point.

The Centers are, and have been, an integral part of the educational mission of the university for fifty years. There are three main ways that this is achieved:

• As the center for university community life. The Centers complement the academic experience through an extensive variety of cultural, social, and recreational programs. These programs provide the opportunity to balance course work and free time as cooperative factors in education.
• As a student-centered organization that values participatory decision making. Through volunteerism, its boards, committees, and student employment, the Centers offers firsthand experience in citizenship and educates students in leadership, social responsibility, and values.
• In all its processes, the Centers encourage self-directed activity, giving maximum opportunity for self-realization and for growth in individual social competency and group effectiveness.
