Would you like to make a difference for local people who are hungry or
homeless? Have you been looking for an ongoing volunteer opportunity but wish it could be more social? SERVE has the project for you!
During the fall semester, SERVE partners with the Salvation Army Hope
Center. The Hope Center is Portage County’s only homeless shelter and is the only place that serves three meals a day, seven days a week. Last year, the Hope Center served 25,000 meals! It is located on Briggs St., right behind the YMCA.
Give hope by volunteering one or more Fridays at the Salvation Army Hope
Center. Make a difference by volunteering at the only homeless shelter in
Portage County. Tasks include sorting the pantry, cleaning, or maintenance.
