Student Organization Conduct Board

Minimum Sanctions

The purpose of sanctions is to provide a rationale for compliance with policies and to serve as a deterrent from violating policies. The SOCB follows a Minimum Sanction grid to help the ever-changing board make-up to keep consistent in its sanctioning process.

The following sanctioning grids are representative of the most frequent types of violations found with UWSP student organization or of such significance that the University has determined a need for a clear response.

The SOCB will carefully deliberate other types of conduct violations in determining appropriate sanctions through additional training on the topic, researching similar outcomes at other universities, and consultation with the Rights and Responsibilities Office.
