The Career
Services staff provides assistance to UWSP students and alumni through
individual contact, group presentations, classroom instruction, this Web site
and print materials accessible in our office resource room. We help with:

Fees:
Services to
students are free (with the exception of nominal fees for assessments) and
extend up to a year following graduation. Assessment costs are as follows:

Type Indicator - $2.00

Interest & Skill Survey - $10.00

Holland’s
Self-Directed Search - $4.00
Alumni need to
pay for the services they wish to utilize more than a year following their UWSP
graduation. Services and fees are as follows:

Meeting with
a staff member for career counseling and/or job search assistance –
$20.00/hour

Taking
assessments (cost per assessment, plus $20.00 for meeting with a staff
member for interpreting results)

6-month
subscription to CareerPoint online system - *$20.00
*Due
to the current state of our economy, the Career Services Office is waiving
the $20.00 fee for alumni to access CareerPoint throughout 2009.

Teaching credential requests - $4.00/set
Students and
alumni may call to set appointments to meet with a staff member, or stop by our
office during walk-in hours on Thursdays between 1:00-4:00 PM throughout the
academic year.
Finding your career counselor:
When people contact Career Services to work with a career counselor, they are
assigned to a staff member on the basis of their academic major (or teaching
intent.)
