This report provides data on the employment or continued educational status of UWSP students graduating in December 2005, May 2006 and August 2006. Research was completed within a year from the date of graduation, with the report compiled for release in the summer of 2007. Statistical information is provided, as is a detailed listing of job titles, employers and locations of graduates.
Each graduate is counted only once, in spite of the fact that many complete multiple majors simultaneously. Individuals with more than one major are normally listed according to the major appearing first in our report from the Records and Registration Office. The asterisks and footnotes identify these occurrences in our statistical report. Our categories and their
explanations follow: DETAILED REPORT CATEGORIES Information is organized alphabetically according to academic major with individual names omitted to maintain confidentiality. All types of employment are listed together (encompassing the statistical report categories of "employed in field" and "employed out of teaching"), followed by the list of further schooling reported. We list whatever information we acquire, and in some cases this is less than complete. Unless we are able to survey the graduate directly, we may have difficulty obtaining all the details we request (specific job title, name and location of the employer, whether the position is full-time or part-time). Many graduates pursue teaching certification in several fields by completing multiple academic majors or minors. This opens employment options in areas other than those in the academic major under which they are listed in our report, and helps to explain, for example, how a Biology major may report being employed as a Chemistry teacher. Questions or comments may be directed to the UWSP Career Services Office: Career Services Office
