Science Resumes

Use the links below to view and save a sample science resume.  All three styles contain identical content, making it easier for you to compare the layouts of all three before choosing the one you think looks best.

You'll need Microsoft Word to use the Word files, and you'll need Adobe Acrobat to view the PDF files.

If possible, use the MS Word files.  You'll be able to edit these files and actually type over the existing content as you install your own information.  In effect, you can use these files as a template.  If you RIGHT CLICK on the MS Word files, you can use the "Save As" command to save a copy of the file on your own drive.  You can then use the file for your own resume, typing over the existing text and preserving the format that is already established.

PLEASE call Career Services at 715.346.3226 to set up a time to bring your resume draft in for a consultation with Mike Pagel.  Don't assume that you're going to produce a top-notch resume by simply downloading and overwriting one of these samples!  Most people find that 3 or 4 appointments are necessary to develop a quality resume.

OF-612 Federal Application

Download a copy of the OF-612 in a Microsoft Word document format!

RIGHT CLICK on the link (here!) and save the document to your own drive.  This version permits you to expand the form to add jobs or produce job descriptions that exceed the few lines the application normally provides for.  You can also modify the application to match the titles and requirements of different positions that you pursue.  Be sure to schedule an appointment with Mike Pagel (715.346.3226) if you would like some help or guidance as you tackle this application.

If you are a CNR major, and if you attended summer Camp, you will benefit from adding a list of Summer Camp skills and tools to item #13 on the OF-612.  Right click here to download the Summer Camp skills list.  You may add this to your application, but be sure to add your name and social security number to the top of each page and label the document as a continuation of your reply to   #13.
