Visiting Campus


The City of Stevens Point is located in central Wisconsin approximately 100 miles north of Madison on I-39/Hwy 51. Career Services is located in 201 Student Services Center, and our street address is 1108 Fremont Street if you are using a GPS system. Our office is immediately at the top of the steps from the main entrance to the building on Fremont Street. If you wish to use the elevator, please go through the lobby to the Student Academic Advising Center (Room 103) and they will direct you to us.

  Driving Directions

 

Please Note: There have been several highway/street name changes in and around Stevens Point due to the recent opening of a Highway 10 bypass. These changes are reflected in the directions on this page, but they may not appear in directions you receive from other sources like MapQuest or Google.

From the North or South: Travel on I-39/Hwy 51 to Stevens Point. Take Exit 159 and drive west on Stanley Street into the city. Continue to follow Stanley Street to the t-intersection with Fremont Street. Turn left onto Fremont Street. Career Services is located in the Student Services Center about 2 blocks south on your right.

From the East or West: Travel on Highway 29 to Wausau, then take I-39/Hwy 51 south to Stevens Point. Take Exit 159 and drive west on Stanley Street into the city. Continue to follow Stanley Street to the t-intersection with Fremont Street. Turn left onto Fremont Street. Career Services is located in the Student Services Center about 2 blocks south on your right.

OR - Approaching from the east, take Highway 41 to Appleton, then Highway 10 west from the Fox River Valley. Follow Highway 66 west into Stevens Point until you reach campus (this is also called Main Street). Watch for the stoplight/intersection with Michigan Avenue, and two blocks beyond this is Fremont Street. Turn left on Fremont to park your car behind Hyer Hall. Career Services is located one block north on Fremont Street in the Student Services Center.

Approaching from the west, take I-94 east and south to Osseo. Take Highway 10 east past Junction City and then follow County HH into Stevens Point. Turn left onto Highway 66 east (this is also called Clark Street once you cross the Wisconsin River). Watch for the intersection with Fremont Street, as immediately it you will turn left to park behind Hyer Hall. Career Services is located one block north on Fremont Street in the Student Services Center.

  Parking Directions

If you will be conducting interviews in our office, please park one block south of the Student Services Center in Lot W. This lot is located behind Hyer Hall at the corner of Fremont and Clark Streets. There is no charge to park in this lot, but you will need to register your car's license number with our reception staff immediately upon arrival.
 
If you will be elsewhere on campus, visitor parking is available in Lot X (12-hour meters), located at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Fremont Street. Limited parking is available adjacent to the Dreyfus University Center in Lot Z (2-hour meters), and Lot R (12-hour meters). All meters cost $.50/hour.
