BIO

I am an associate professor of economics and the Director of the UWSP Center for Economic Education. I have been teaching at UWSP since 1999. I hold a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and a M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Texas–Austin. My areas of expertise include international economics, macroeconomic theory and political economy. I received the Distinguished Paper Award from The Midwest Business Administration Association in 2002, and in 2004 I was named a Wisconsin Idea Fellow by the UW System for my extraordinary public service to local communities. I received the Division of Business and Economics Excellence in Teaching Award in both 2001 and 2003.
