Teaching Awards

EconomicsWisconsin coordinates and sponsors a number of  teaching awards that recognize Wisconsin  teachers who excel  in their teaching of economics.

Excellence in Teaching Economics - Elementary Teacher Award:
This program recognizes the innovative teaching practices of Wisconsin elementary teachers (grades K-6) who make economics a vital part of their school curriculum.

Excellence in Teaching Economics - Secondary Teacher Award:
This program recognizes the innovative teaching practices of Wisconsin secondary teachers (grades 7-12) who make economics a vital part of their school curriculum.

Wisconsin Stock Market Simulation Advisor of the Year:
The Distinguished Advisor Award is designed to provide recognition to a full-time teacher advisor for outstanding classroom use of the Simulation and for stimulating creative integration of the Simulation into Wisconsin classrooms.

NASDAQ Teaching Awards Program:
The awards, created through a grant to the National Council on Economic Education, recognizes deserving high school teachers for their originality, creativity, and effectiveness in furthering students� awareness of the financial markets, principles of investing, personal finance, and the operation of market economies.  Deadline July 31.    Wisconsin 2002 Winners.
