Business, Accounting, and Economics Majors

Adviser listed as "Grp Adv-Trainer"  || If Advisor NOT "Grp Adv-Trainer"

If "Grp Adv-Trainer" is listed after Advisor on your Degree Progress Report, you must attend one Small Group Advising Session each semester to get permission to register for spring and fall semesters. (No permission is required to register for summer and winterim terms.)

Sign-up sheets for Group Advising are posted on the bulletin board outside the Business Advising Office 304B, CCC the month before registration begins (October & March).

On-line Registration begins the second week of November for spring and summer terms, and in April for fall and winterim terms.

You can find your Registration Appointment Time on MyPoint beginning in October & March.

Please come prepared to the Group Advising Session by printing a recent copy of your Degree Progress Report and completing both sides of the GDR Advising Worksheet.

Bring to your Group Advising Session:

  1. Your RECENT Degree Progress Report (print from MyPoint).

  2. Your GDR Advising Worksheet with the courses you'd like to take.

  3. Your UWSP Catalog (can be purchased at the UWSP Bookstore.)

If your advisor is not "Grp Adv-Trainer" on your DPR please read below.

Students assigned specifically to "Sally Trainer" will have "Sally Trainer" listed on your DPR and must sign up for an INDIVIDUAL Appointment with Sally on her office DOOR, 304B, CCC (NOT the bulletin board). You must also come prepared (see above).

Note: If you have not declared the Business major and wish to get permission to register from the Business Department, you may attend Group Advising. However, you must wait until the end of the session and allow time to have the changes made on your DPR, via the computer.

To avoid waiting: Please declare the Business major prior to November 1 for spring registration and April 1 for fall registration.
