Scholarships

To be eligible for Business & Economics scholarships, you must have 30 credits at UWSP, and 75 credits total. The scholarship application is sent out via email to UWSP Accounting, Business, and Economics majors each December.

Additionally, students in the Division of Business & Economics are eligible for certain scholarships and awards sponsored by other organizations. Click here for more information.

Business and Economics Scholarships

Scholarship: American Production and Inventory Control Society Award (2)
Amount:  $150
Criteria for Eligibility: 
Outstanding junior or senior as evidenced by academic achievement and demonstrated leadership.  Must be a major in Business Administration, Economics, or Managerial Accounting with a minimum 3.25 GPA.
Awarded:  Spring

Scholarship: Central Wisconsin Apartment Association Scholarship
Amount:  $500
Criteria for Eligibility: 
Outstanding junior or senior as evidenced by academic achievement and demonstrated leadership.  Must be a major in Business Administration, Economics, or Managerial Accounting with a minimum 3.25 GPA.
Awarded:  Spring

Scholarship: Randy and Patricia Cray Scholarship for Academic Achievement
Amount:  $300
Criteria for Eligibility: 
Junior or Senior majoring in Economics with a minimum 3.5 GPA, 90 credits in major; preference given to student engaged in service-related activities in the community or on campus.
Awarded:  Spring

Scholarship: Clifton Gunderson Accounting Scholarship
Amount:  $500
Criteria for Eligibility: 
3.25 minimum GPA; junior or senior standing with at least one semester as a full-time student remaining.  A student's academic achievement, participation in Division activities, and intent to enter the field of public accounting or related field will guide the selection committee's decisions.
Awarded:  Spring

Scholarship: Gordon Haferbecker Scholarship
Amount:  $200 - $600
Criteria for Eligibility: 
Senior majoring in the Division of Business and Economics with a minimum 3.25  GPA in major related courses and shows character, need, and scholarship.
Awarded:  Spring

Scholarship: James and Madeleine Haine Award
Amount:  $300
Criteria for Eligibility: 
Non-traditional students majoring in Business, Economics, or Accounting. Ideally, it will go to a single parent.
Awarded:  Spring

Scholarship: Richard B. & Mary Lou Judy Scholarship in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management
Amount:  $500-$1,000
Criteria for Eligibility: 
Junior or senior major in Business Administration with outstanding work ethic, recognized leadership and volunteerism activities, and a demonstrated/special interest in small businesses and entrepreneurship.
Awarded:  Spring

Scholarship: The Junction State Bank/W. B. Greaton Scholarship
Amount:  $200 - $500
Criteria for Eligibility: 
Junior or senior in the Division of Business and Economics with scholarship abilities and participation in extracurricular activities.
Awarded:  Spring

Scholarship: Kamil Mahdi Scholarship
Amount:  $600
Criteria for Eligibility: 
Outstanding junior or senior as evidenced by academic achievement and demonstrated leadership.  Must be a major in Business Administration, Economics, or Managerial Accounting with a minimum 3.25 GPA.
Awarded:  Spring

Scholarship: Sentry Scholarships
Amount:  $200 - $500
Criteria for Eligibility: 
Outstanding junior or senior as evidenced by academic achievement and demonstrated leadership.  Must be a major in Business Administration, Economics, or Managerial Accounting with a minimum 3.25 GPA.
Awarded:  Spring

Scholarship: John C. Seramur Scholarship
Amount:  $300 - $600
Criteria for Eligibility: 
Junior or senior majoring in Business Administration, Economics, or Managerial Accounting with minimum 3.25 GPA and high scholastic achievement and demonstrated leadership.
Awarded:  Spring

Scholarship: John C. Seramur Scholarship (2)
Amount:  $200
Criteria for Eligibility: 
Entering freshman with designated major in Business Administration, Economics, or Managerial Accounting and rank in the top 10% of high school class. GPA 3.0 or better.
Awarded:  Spring

Scholarship: Stevens Point Board of Realtors Scholarship
Amount:  $500
Criteria for Eligibility: 
Outstanding junior or senior as evidenced by academic achievement and demonstrated leadership.  Must be a major in Business Administration, Economics, or Managerial Accounting with a minimum 3.25 GPA.
Awarded:  Spring

Scholarship: Wall Street Journal Award
Amount: 
Desk memento & 1 year subscription
Criteria for Eligibility: 
Outstanding Division of Business and Economics graduate with recognized academic accomplishment and leadership.
Awarded:  Spring

Note: December graduates are eligible for scholarships awarded in the spring.
