Expectations for Students in my Classes

� All students are expected to respect the comments and beliefs of others even if they do not agree with them.

� Cheating or plagiarism is not tolerated.

� Students will use critical thinking to take them beyond the material presented.

� Participation is essential to learning, therefore I expect students to participate in discussions, in readings, and in-group activities.

� Students need to complete assignments and spend time outside class studying, reflecting, preparing, and researching.

� I expect students in my classes to learn things beyond what we discuss in class. They learn about things they research, they learn about themselves, and they learn about others.
